Our story
Founded because the incentives were wrong
TD Wealth Management began in 2013 with a small group of advisers who had spent their careers inside larger institutions and had grown tired of a familiar pattern: good advice competing with a sales target, and losing.
The remedy was structural rather than cultural. If a firm holds no products of its own and accepts no payment from product providers, there is nothing for advice to compete with. Everything else we do follows from that single decision.
Thirteen years on we look after roughly $4.2 billion for more than four hundred client families, foundations and trusts, from offices in Lagos, Abuja and Accra. We have deliberately stayed small enough that the person who takes your first meeting is still the person who takes your call in year ten.
